API Versioning

Version management, deprecation policy, and migration guidance.

Current Version

The current stable API version is v1. All endpoints are prefixed with /v1.

Version Lifecycle

Status	Description
Development	In progress, not available for use
Preview	Available as beta — may have breaking changes
Stable	Recommended for production use
Deprecated	Still functional, but scheduled for removal
Retired	No longer available

Deprecation Policy

• Deprecated versions receive at least 6 months notice before retirement
• Breaking changes only occur in new major versions
• Additive changes (new fields, new endpoints) may be added to stable versions
• The X-API-Version response header confirms which version served your request
